The Beglobber mobile app for your team
How the people of your operation who work at the destination (guides, coordinators, sellers and transport companies) check passengers in with the voucher QR, and how sellers sell optional excursions and follow their commission, even when the signal drops.
What it is and who uses it
It is a native app for iOS and Android for the people of your operation who work at the destination: guides, coordinators, sellers and transport companies. It is not an app for passengers. Each person signs in with their Beglobber user and password; email verification with a code is an option that depends on how it is set up. The app reads bookings and vouchers from your Beglobber data. It is in active development and we configure it for each client.
The home screen
The home screen shows a greeting and three actions: scan the voucher QR, to check a passenger in; search by hand, to find a passenger; and sell an excursion, to add an optional to a passenger. Below you see the agenda of the services you sold, and the check-ins and sales of the day.
Check in a passenger with the voucher QR
The scanner reads the QR printed on the voucher. If it cannot be read, you type the code. The app finds the booking in your company and shows the lead passenger, the service, the number of pax, the pick-up time and the route, the flight for transfers, the list of passengers, and a notice if it was already checked in.
Confirming records the time of the device and of the server, and can add the GPS location, the passenger's signature drawn on the screen and a photo. These three are optional. A service can be checked in only once. The check-ins are viewable in the app.
Sell optional excursions on site
The Sell tab shows your excursions from your own services and rates, with search, date, passengers and filters, and an excursion detail with photos and what is and is not included. To record a sale you link it to a booking of your company, and enter the pick-up place and time, the payment method, the passenger and, if you want, a note for the driver. You can save a draft or the sale.
The app does not charge: it says so on the screen, the sale is recorded and settled at the office. The server sets the price from your rates and the commission from your configuration, and the seller cannot change them. After saving, the app shares the voucher PDF. A sale can be cancelled if it has no payments recorded; otherwise the app asks the office to cancel it.
My sales, my check-ins and my commission
The Sales tab shows the sales of the day, the last 7 or 30 days, the commission and what is pending to settle, and lets you search and filter by status. The Check-ins tab lists the check-ins with their detail. Sales appear in the coordinator vouchers and balances of your back office, so the settlement works as it already does.
When there is no signal
If the connection drops when you confirm a check-in or record a sale, the app saves the action and retries it when the signal returns, and keeps it in the list of actions waiting to sync. Nothing is discarded unless the seller decides to discard it. Finding a voucher, generating the voucher PDF and the history do need a connection.
Your brand and languages
Each client's app shows its own colour and logo. It works in English and Spanish, according to the language of the device.
